Since our establishment in October14, 2019, KICDO has been driven by a singular and powerful vision: to see a reconciled, just, and prosperous Ethiopia. We are a non-partisan, non-profit organization founded on the belief that sustainable human development is achieved through holistic support.

Our work is deeply rooted in the community. Operating in the Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-city, we are dedicated to solving the interwoven problems of peace, security, and development. Our primary focus is on the most vulnerable among us—women, girls, and children—ensuring they receive the protection, education, and economic empowerment they deserve.

Currently, our operations are led by a dedicated team of professionals working entirely on a voluntary basis. Despite the challenges of our times, including the impacts of the pandemic and instability, our commitment remains unshaken. We strive to reduce school dropout rates, empower women through self-reliance and business skills, and provide essential psychosocial support.
